In Sounds of the Home, your little one joins Eardrops the bunny and Nana as they explore the home and get ready to for a birthday party. Along the way, there are lots of fun sounds to listen to like a kettle, a cat, a telephone, a hedgehog, a piano and even a toilet! Along the way, Eardrop the bunny prompts your little one with listening cues to help them focus on listening and learning. There’s even a guessing game at the end of the CD to help your little one remember what they’ve learnt.
Most educational media for children focuses on visual learning. While visual learning is important, listening is an essential life skill essential for your child’s education! As well as helping your child learn to listen, Sounds of Home will help to build up their vocabulary and develop their communication skills. Sounds of the Home is a great alternative to television for kids and it’s an easy way for busy parents to help kids learn without relying on books.
Sounds of the Home is recommended for preschool children aged 1-4. The CD comes with a booklet.
Along with the rest of Eardrop’s Journey’s, Sounds of the Home was developed and recorded in New Zealand. The CDs were developed with a team of educators (including a Speech Language Therapist, Early Childhood Teacher, and Early Intervention Teacher) in line with the New Zealand Early Childhood Curriculum.
